CONTINUOUS ON-SITE HUMAN
RESOURCE COUNSELOR SUPPORT

DESCRIPTION   OF SERVICE

-Recruit and supervise a qualified and trained HR Counselor on-site to assist new and existing employees with disability related issues

-Provide Employer’s with ongoing disability documentation necessary to maintain organization’s disability and/or diversity goals

-Insure that new hires receive the proper disability related supports to be successful both at the beginning of employment and beyond their probationary period

-Identify additional support resources as needed (ex. interpreter services) and interface with referral agencies including the Veterans Administration to facilitate delivery of such services

VALUE OF SERVICE

-Presence of onsite HR Counselor with disability support experience leads to increased productivity and greater retention of employees

-Attainment of organization’s disability and/or diversity goals through recruitment and maintenance of employees’ disability documentation

-Negotiate funding with referral sources to cover costs of additional supports or equipment (ex. adaptive computer programs, ergonomic chairs, tools, etc.) as needed
